How to prolong Diamond Blades, working life.

1) Dry cutting

Segmented diamond blade are used where water is not available or desired. These products are run to generate air flow which helps. To remove cuttings and promote cooling. Dry cutting tools require intermittent cutting ( The removal of the product from the cut every 10 to 15 seconds.)

2) Wet cutting

Continuous rim blades must be used with water, to prevent itself from being over heated. Water plays two parts, cooling and removing cuttings, which are important to both life and cutting speed. A continuous water flow must be maintained during the cutting, even a few minute of overheat may cause damage to the blades and make troubles. Before using continuous rim blades, an intensive check must be taken on the blades, tools and electric source so as to ensure the safety

3) Operating Speeds.

The limiting speed stands for the maximum safe working speed.

Description:

In principle, the recommended operating speed is about 9500 surface feet per minute (SFPM). As to materials like concrete and marble, the optimal cutting speed fall into 90% to 110% range of the speed listed in table. Whereas to hard and dense materials as stones and ceramic bricks, the optimal operating speed should only be 10~25% of the speed listed in table. In load-free conditions, the blades operating speed should be much higher than the listed speed.
